Kent Roe - Real Estate Appraiser

Kent is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (South Dakota License #1589CG). Kent is a long-time business owner originally from Hazel, SD. He grew up on a dairy farm and continues in various ag related business. Kent has a lifetime of experience in agriculture. He specializes in agricultural valuation, and has experience with commercial valuation. 

 

Kent currently serves on the Professional Appraisers Association of South Dakota (PAASD) board of directors. Kent is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), and a member of the Appraisal Institute. Kent has served for over 10 years on the Sioux Rural Water Association board, and served on the Dakota Mainstem Regional Water System board before being elected to the South Dakota House of Representatives in 2024. Kent is a Representative for District 4.

Kent is a graduate of South Dakota State University, and resides on an acreage in rural Hayti with his wife, Melissa. In his spare time he enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and sampling Melissa's baked goods. 

Melissa Roe - Residential Appraiser

Melissa Roe is a Certified Residential Appraiser (South Dakota License #1338CR) who has been in the appraisal industry since 2014. Before training to be an appraiser, Melissa was the Deputy Director of Equalization for Hamlin County. She is a residential appraiser based in Watertown. She covers several counties in the northeast area of South Dakota including: Codington, Beadle, Brookings, Clark, Day, Deuel, Grant, Hamlin, Kingsbury, and Roberts. Her coverage includes all cities and towns, rural acreages, and lakes in these areas. She also has experience and knowledge with small income 2-4 family properties. Melissa is a member of the Professional Appraisers Association of South Dakota (PAASD), Appraisal Institute, and National Association of Realtors. She is also the clerk for her local township board.

 

Melissa is a graduate of Viterbo University, and is originally from the Twin Cities. She  resides on an acreage in rural Hayti with her husband, Kent. In her free time she enjoys baking and cooking, quilting and sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Paul Reisch - Real Estate Appraiser

Paul has a passion for real estate and service to agriculture. He has over 40 years of experience in providing objective appraisal valuation services on agricultural farms, acreages, and livestock facilities.

Paul is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (South Dakota License
#142CG) and holds the the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation, which Is awarded by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) to those members who have had  years of  experience, are technically trained, and have passed a rigid examination. 

 

Paul has served in SD ASFMRA Chapter Leadership roles since 1998, including Chapter President in 2003-2004 and Chapter Secretary since
2012. He has also served in ASFMRA National Leadership roles since 2017. He has been a South Dakota Appraiser Certification Program Appraiser Advisory Council Member
Since January 2021.
